Terms of Use

1. Description of Service

Kiswah: Salah is a calm, private companion that helps you pray the five daily prayers on time, in the window, and with presence. It includes:

• Prayer-time reminders and gentle nudges based on your location and chosen method.
• A guided Fajr flow (wake, remembrance, wudu, prayer).
• An optional, on-device calendar awareness that can suggest brief holds around prayers.
• A learning path (Madrasah) and short reflections to deepen khushuʿ.
• An honest weekly view of how you prayed (on-time, in-window, and qadha).

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By using it, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

Some features are part of Kiswah Pro, an auto-renewable subscription sold through Apple's in-app purchase.

• Plans: Kiswah Pro is offered as a weekly plan at $9.99 / week, or a monthly plan at $29.99 / month. There is no annual plan. Prices are listed in U.S. dollars, may vary by region, and the App always shows the exact price in your local currency before you buy.
• Free Trial: The monthly plan includes a one-time 7-day free trial for new subscribers; the weekly plan has no free trial. Free-trial eligibility is determined by Apple on a per subscription group, per Apple IDbasis — if you (or the Apple ID you are signed in with) have already used a free trial for Kiswah Pro, you will not receive another one, even if you switch plans. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the paid subscription begins automatically and you will be charged.
• Merchant of record: All purchases are billed by and made with Apple, which acts as the merchant of record. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
• Auto-Renewal: Your subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends, at the rate of your selected plan.
• Managing & Cancelling: Subscriptions are managed and cancelled in your Apple ID account settings(Settings → your name → Subscriptions on iOS) — not by contacting us. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid being charged for the next period.
• Price Changes: Prices may change; we will give advance notice as required, and continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
• Refunds: All purchases are processed by Apple; refund requests are handled by Apple per their policies.

4. A companion, not a religious authority

Kiswah's reminders, suggestions, and any AI-generated wording are tools to help you build a consistent prayer habit. They are not religious rulings (fatwā)and are not a substitute for the guidance of a qualified scholar. For questions of fiqh — including prayer times, conditions, and how to make up missed prayers — please consult a trusted scholar. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any generated content.

5. Prayer Times

Prayer times are calculated estimatesbased on your location and the calculation method you choose, computed on your device. Accuracy can be affected by GPS and the chosen method — always verify against your local mosque or authority. We are not liable for missed prayers resulting from such estimates.

6. Calendar Access (Opt-In)

If you grant calendar access, the App reads your calendar on your device to notice meetings that overlap a prayer window and suggest brief holds. Event details never leave your device. You can revoke calendar access at any time in your device Settings.

7. Religious Content and Attribution

Hadith and Qur'an passages shown in the App are quoted from established collections and are cited so you can read them in full (for example, Sunnah.com and Quran.com). They are provided for benefit, not as independent rulings. If you notice an error, please use the in-app “report a concern” option or contact us.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality or security.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and trademarks in the App are owned by or licensed to us. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App without our written consent.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA OR MISSED PRAYERS.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the App at any time, with or without cause or notice.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The App is provided by Muhammad Taha.

Nothing in these Terms removes or limits any mandatory consumer protection rights you hold under the laws of the country where you live. Where those rights conflict with anything stated here, those rights prevail.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will note material changes by updating the date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
